Posted by yuwono on Jan 6, '07 4:26 PM for everyone | | So, this time, me and master of zenscape Wellington and also Kiki went together to this place. We got plenty of time actually before the sun sets. But unfortunatelly the tide was too low, so we could not play so much of our slow speed "kung fu". However, here is some of my take. Hopefully there are some pics that still can be enjoy. |

Actually it is not exactly in Siloso, but I need to walk roughly 150m toward west from the beach, just behind Sentosa Resort. I was lucky to found a "lonely" cloud during this sunset shots. |

A lot of master out there that their work based on this kind of technique. Ranging from Michael Kenna, Josef Hoflehner, David Fokos, Rolfe Horn, Michael Levin, etc.
They have many philosophy behind their shots, but bassically, with slow speed, what they want to achieve is to represent the scene in the "fundamental" and "basic" form. Also to remove "noise" which affect our interpretation of nature in high / normal speed pictures.
Whatever.... :) to me... it is a good way to practice my composition on photography. |
